Stephen PARKIN, born 1793 Whiston married in 1817 Sheffield to Sarah SMITH. Children born Wickersley:

John Parkin of Guilthwaite was born about 1791. He died January 8 1854. He married Ann Handley. Ann died 31st October 1890 age 87.
They had a daughter Rebekah who died 26 June 1839 aged 12 days, and a son Jabez who died July 1839.
Licensee of the Ball Public House in 1881 was Thomas C. Parkin, aged 46. His wife was Sarah PARKIN aged 45 from Whiston. Children:
- Emmie aged 20, unmarried
- Sarah E. aged 19 unmarried
- Henry B. aged 16 an apprentice Carpenter
- Mary E. aged 14
- Maud A. aged 9
All the children were born in Whiston.
