Timothy(1795-1878) was a publican at the Chequers pub in Whiston and he was also a butcher. He was married to Letitia. Children, born Whiston:

In 1871 Timothy Elliott now aged 75 and a Widower, was still a Landlord and butcher, living with him was his daughter Sarah Sayles, his housekeeper, and her unmarried daughter, Annie, born in Sheffield.

Manager of the pubic house - The Chequers was Timothy's son in law, Richard P. Gillott, who had married Margaret Elliott.

 

By 1881, the publican was Robert Elliott, born 1852 in Chesterfield, Elisa Ann, his wife aged 27 was born in Derby in 1854, as were their first 2 children:

There is no record of the family in 1891.
