John Bagshaw, a shoemaker was born about 1798 in Whiston, in 1871 he was living with his daughter Sarah and family.
Sarah married Frederick Hague, a stonemason from Glossop, Derbyshire.
In 1871 Frederick and Sarah were living in Whiston with their children:
- Frederick, age 15
- Sarah, age 13
- Joseph, age 10
- Phoebe, age 7
- Benjamin, age 4
- Willy, age 2
Also living in Whiston in 1871:
John Bagshaw, shoemaker age 22, born Wickersley, his wife Sarah age 22, born Treeton and a son Alfred George age 2, born Whiston.
