Whiston Floods

Residents living in part of Whiston were woken up at 3 a.m. by sirens and police knocking on doors, telling everyone that they must evacuate - Ulley reservoir was about to burst.
Residents were transported to Herringthorpe Leisure Centre and Dinnington Comprehensive School.
Many residents returned to their homes on Thursday morning 28th June.

At 3 a.m. the next day, all the excess water had gone.
